Card User

You understand this card is for your use only. You will not let another person use the card, card number, or PIN. You will not sell it or transfer it to another person. If you do, you understand you will be responsible for the transactions made with the card.

Card Activation and PIN

  • Your card may/will be activated when you receive it. You may also need to provide personal information before funds can be loaded onto the card. You agree to provide any information needed for card setup or loading.
  • You agree to treat the card like cash and keep it in a safe place. You will not share your card number or PIN with anyone, send the card number by email or text or write the PIN number on the card. When using the card online, you will make sure your information is entered on a secure website or network.
  • When you are asked to choose a PIN, you will pick a number that is hard for other people to guess. You will not use parts of your birth date, address, or Social Security number. You will keep your PIN private and will not write it on the card or keep it with the card.

Card Use

You may use the card to buy goods and services anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, subject to the card balance, program limits and transaction restrictions. You agree you will not use the card for illegal transactions or online gambling. You understand some types of merchants or transactions may be blocked and will review Give Card's help center for details.

Limits, Fees, and Available Balance

You understand your card may have limits on purchases, ATM withdrawals, and other transactions and may also be subject to fees as detailed in the Give Card Help Center and Portal. You also understand your card may be declined if the transaction is for more than the available balance. You agree to review those limits and fees before using the card.

Holds and refunds

You understand that some merchants (e.g., gas stations, hotels, restaurants), may place a temporary hold for more than the final purchase amount and that hold can reduce the money available on your card until the purchase is finalized. Additionally, you understand if you return an item, any refund would be credited back to the card and you will not receive a cash refund from AidKit or GiveCard. You agree to handle problems with goods or services with the merchant.

Lost, stolen, or unauthorized use.

You agree to contact GiveCard at 908-529-0955 or support@givecard.io. immediately if:

  • your card is lost or stolen;
  • someone learns your PIN or other access information; or
  • you see a transaction you do not recognize.

You understand that you are responsible for transactions made using your card, including unauthorized transactions, depending on how quickly you report the issue.

  • If you report the problem within 2 business days, your loss will be no more than $50, and may be less.
  • If you wait more than 2 business days, you could lose up to $500.
  • If you do not report an unauthorized transaction within 60 days, you could lose additional funds taken after that time.

Card expiration and replacement

You have reviewed the card expiration date on the front of the card and will aim to spend all funds before that date. You understand that a replacement card may be issued if there are still funds on the card after expiration [but there may be a fee for a replacement card]. You will contact GiveCard support for a replacement card for other reasons.

Revocation or cancellation

You understand that AidKit may suspend, limit, or revoke your access to the card if:

  • required by law;
  • required by program rules;
  • the card is used in violation of this Agreement; or
  • AidKit determines that your eligibility for the program has ended.

This can take effect after it has been processed.
