Faster, smarter disaster relief: How LA County used AI and geospatial mapping to deliver $20M in aid

When wildfires struck Southern California in January 2025, Los Angeles County partnered with AidKit to launch two relief programs in just two weeks, delivering $2,000 grants to workers and up to $25,000 to businesses. Using geospatial mapping, AI-assisted identity verification, and an integrated disaster-recovery platform, the County increased available funds tenfold.
